Old buildings have only endured because of the quality of their roofs.If old tiles have been selected and re-used, insurance companies will no longer guarantee roofs constructed in this way. The knowledge of yesteryear has gradually disappeared over the years and no new replacement tiles were to be found. To fulfil this need and to preserve our heritage, EDILIANS developed a specific tile to match historical monuments and ancient dwellings. Thus it was that the Monument Historique 16/27 Ste Foy was created in our moulds and kilns to replace the hand-made models that have long ago disappeared.
Identical
The Monument historique 16/27 Ste Foy was created to meet the needs of listed buildings. Everything about its shape and general appearance recall the past. Its thickness of 16mm, its old-fashioned central tenon and its camber are good examples. A deliberate roughness mimics the irregularities of ancient tiles but these clay tiles are as solid as a rock and ready to withstand whatever the elements throw at them, for a long time to come.

As each monument and each region is unique, the Monument historique 16/27 Ste Foy comes in a wide range of specific colours. By mixing the colours, one can achieve the effect of a bygone age, perfectly suited to the requirements of each region.
